Pimp my Fox

Found out the absolute genius of Firefox last weekend. So many amazing add-ons and extras. The favourite of which will affect my job. Online ad blocking. Just like Sky+, you can essentially just skip out the ads. A page pops up, and all the ads are blocked. Meaning twice as quick loading times and less clutter. Get it here.

These are worth getting also:

Doritos to Share

Doritos are all triangly. So why not crimp one edge of the crisp packet on the opposite axis and WHAM! you've got a triangular bag. Perfect for sharing... just pull the front side of the bag off and it is it's own bowl.

All the TV you need

We like the idea of channel 4 giving out remotes. All the normal stuff on them... but with pre-programmed buttons that link to their channels. I don't reckon you'd really need any other buttons on there.
Except perhaps BBC3 for Heroes.

Great idea? And maybe ever so slightly worrying.

'Last year Snappy Snaps launched an airbrushing service for customers who want to improve their holiday pictures without having to bother going on a diet or having a complete overhaul at a beauty salon. For a mere £10, love handles and wobbly bits can be removed from bikini shots, dark circles can be lightened and legs lengthened. The service has proved incredibly popular; there has been a 550 per cent increase in requests for it in the past three months alone.'

There's money in movies

Love Actually cost £30m to make. Now let's say Richard Curtis, who directed Love Actually and works for Comic Relief decided he was going to make a charity film. Many of the actors would not need paying, or if they did, much less. You'd have cameos all over the shop.
You could whip up a British recipe for success... some Hugh Grant, Simon Pegg, Emma Thompson... the usuals.

You're talking giant profits. Love Actually grossed £130m in just 5 months. That's £100m going straight to charity. And think of all the royalties there after.

So that's our little idea of the day. Charity Film. Hell, there've been enough charity gigs.

1 mb, and a milkshake please

Pretty silly thought here but couldn't someone open an internet cafe called 'mb|megabyte'. The kiddies burger would be a kb (kilobyte). The house burger mb (megabyte) and you know what's coming for full whack with cheese, bacon etc.... the GIGA.

(Hollie wants no affiliation with this thought. She thinks it's "geeky".)

Charity Book Shop

The charity bookshelf relies on trusting readers to essentially rent a book on their commute (trains, airports, stations). When they have finished it, they place it back on any charity shelf, pick up another and donate 50p through the slot on top.

Lonely Planet

Prompted by our recent holiday stints...
Lonely Planet should do a range of downloadable audio guides. That way you could get all the guides you need for Paris: the Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tower and so on, on your iPod. Which would mean you wouldn't have to keep paying for seperate guides everywhere you go. And you can learn about all of the stuff you've gone to see while you're looking at it, from a brand you trust.
